Arrival & Dismissal Procedures

Now that we are on our way into this amazing school year, we would like to share a few helpful tidbits about arrival and dismissal to ensure that we keep all Davidson students safe.

Arrival Procedures

Students should not arrive before 8:10am. Contract time for staff begins at 8:05 and we do not want students unsupervised for their safety before the bell rings. (Unless the student is part of the morning program) Please do not drop off students in the staff parking lot. Students in all grades should be dropped off in the front car line. Students with Fast Passes and special permission may be picked up in the Kindergarten drive. Please yield to all daycare and school buses as they enter and exit the parking lot.

Dismissal Procedures

Pre-K, Kinder and 1st Grade WALKERS: Parents must have their car rider tag with them to meet their student. WINDING POINT DRIVE - It is important that Winding Point be kept clear for buses and emergency vehicles. Please do not double park or block the streets along this street. Please refrain from making u-turns in front of the buses. Remind your students to walk safely, crossing the street with the crossing guards, and not walking between cars. Parents, please watch for students crossing the streets in the vicinity of the school and down Winding Point Drive.
